A leading hospital is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to join their imaging team for a contract assignment. This essential role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic radiology department, utilizing advanced techniques and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
- Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification Registered Technologist (R) required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting imaging equipment specific to IR procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract assignment with defined duration
- Flexible schedule may be available; specifics to be confirmed upon interview
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures safely and efficiently
- Prepare and position patients; explain procedures and provide compassionate care throughout the process
- Use fluoroscopic equipment and imaging modalities according to established protocols
- Support physicians during image-guided interventions, ensuring precise imaging and optimal image quality
- Maintain accurate records, document procedures, and practice rigorous infection control
- Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to emergencies or changes during procedures
- Maintain and ensure the cleanliness and readiness of IR suites and associated equipment
