A leading hospital is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to join their imaging team for a contract assignment. This essential role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic radiology department, utilizing advanced techniques and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
• Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification Registered Technologist (R) required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting imaging equipment specific to IR procedures
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team

Schedule/Hours:

• Contract assignment with defined duration
• Flexible schedule may be available; specifics to be confirmed upon interview

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures safely and efficiently
• Prepare and position patients; explain procedures and provide compassionate care throughout the process
• Use fluoroscopic equipment and imaging modalities according to established protocols
• Support physicians during image-guided interventions, ensuring precise imaging and optimal image quality
• Maintain accurate records, document procedures, and practice rigorous infection control
• Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to emergencies or changes during procedures
• Maintain and ensure the cleanliness and readiness of IR suites and associated equipment
