This role places you at a leading healthcare facility that serves as a Level II Trauma Center and a Primary Stroke Center. With exposure to advanced imaging equipment and a variety of adult patient care scenariosfrom peripheral interventions to hybrid and cath lab proceduresthis assignment is ideal for professionals eager to expand their expertise, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and build an impressive career portfolio.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Weekend rotation (call only); 10-11 call shifts per month, including 2 weekends (FridayMonday)
  • Weeknight call shifts: 4pm7am
  • 30-minute response time required
  • Holiday coverage is call-only (12 holidays during contract)
  • 12-hour orientation provided

Position Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in either IR or Cath Lab; cross-training in both modalities highly preferred
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • IEMA (IL license) and ARRT credentials required
  • Strong proficiency in scrubbing and operating imaging equipment, including Impella, balloon pump, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
  • Experience with Siemens, Merge hemodynamic, and EPIC charting systems
  • Adult inpatient and outpatient procedural care; intra-procedural focus only
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and assist with a broad range of interventional radiology procedures
  • Collaborate closely with charge nurses, cardiologists, and supporting departments
  • Maintain high standards for infection control, procedural accuracy, and patient safety
  • Function effectively during on-call hours, responding promptly to emergent needs
