Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
  • Current ARRT (R) certification; additional (VI) credential preferred
  • Valid state license as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Prior experience in Interventional Radiology (minimum 1 year preferred)
  • Proficient with advanced IR equipment and procedures, including angiography, stenting, thrombolysis, and biopsies
  • Strong knowledge of sterile technique and patient safety practices
  • Excellent communication and patient-care skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures
  • Utilize advanced imaging technology to assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
  • Handle contrast media safely and monitor patients for adverse reactions
  • Maintain accurate patient records and procedure documentation
  • Ensure all equipment is sterile, functioning, and well-maintained
  • Provide education and support to patients throughout procedures
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, safety regulations, and imaging protocols
