A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Imaging professional specializing in Interventional Radiology techniques. This contract position based in Rochester, NY, offers a chance to apply advanced imaging skills within a dynamic healthcare environment dedicated to high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities include expertly selecting exposure factors and positioning to consistently produce radiologic images of diagnostic quality, while collaborating closely with the healthcare team to resolve challenges efficiently. The role requires preparing and instructing patients for examinations, assisting Radiologists during procedures, and demonstrating proficiency in operating all imaging equipment. Timely completion of assigned procedures and active support in departmental efficiency, such as room turnover assistance, are key components of the job. Maintaining medication security and demonstrating sensitivity to patient rights are essential. Additionally, the professional will be responsible for accurate documentation using hospital information systems including RIS, PACS, and HIS, as well as participating in performance improvement initiatives and handling technical inquiries courteously.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current New York State license or eligibility to obtain before starting
- Minimum of two years experience in Interventional Radiology imaging
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- VIR certification is preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient care and confidentiality
