Join a dynamic Interventional Radiology team within a prestigious Level III Trauma and NICU facility recognized for Magnet designation and Comprehensive Stroke Center excellence. This travel opportunity is centered in the Milwaukee area, offering a high-volume setting with an average of 40-50 adult patients daily, where your imaging expertise directly impacts patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of General IR procedures including kyphoplasty, central line placements, fistulograms, coil embolization, and nephrostomy tubes.
- Support Neuro IR interventions such as stroke embolizations and spinal angios (for those with neuro experience).
- Collaborate with a skilled team including lead techs, coordinators, respiratory therapists, and hospitalists available 24/7.
- Utilize advanced Siemens and GE imaging equipment, along with supporting technologies like PACS and MedRad injectors.
- Participate in weekend call rotations; weekday and weekend schedules offer flexibility, with shift length adjustments possible.
Qualifications:
- RT(R) certification (ARRT) with current Wisconsin licensure.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum 1 year IR experience required; first-time travelers accepted if experienced in IR.
- Proficient in scrubbing and panning concurrently during procedures.
- Comfortable with general IR cases; coding/charging knowledge is a plus but not mandatory.
- Neuro IR experience preferred for those willing to participate in neuro call.
Scheduling & Orientation:
- Call rotation includes one weekday call night per week and call once every fifth weekend.
- Shifts are adaptable: options include four 10-hour shifts or mixed 8- and 12-hour shifts.
- New staff will receive 1-2 weeks of orientation with a dedicated preceptor.
