Schedule/Hours:
- Travel position with flexible assignment duration
Key Qualifications:
- Active interventional radiology experience strongly preferred
- Valid New York State radiologic technologist license required
- Minimum of two years relevant radiology experience
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Demonstrated ability to excel in dynamic, multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to patient confidentiality, compassionate care, and clear communication
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality, diagnostically valuable radiologic images and assist with selecting appropriate exposure factors and positioning
- Prepare and instruct patients for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, supporting the radiologist throughout
- Operate advanced x-ray equipment, CR and DR systems efficiently; promptly report any equipment malfunctions
- Manage medication security according to department protocols
- Support department workflow: assist colleagues, complete clerical and transport duties, restock supplies
- Utilize hospital and radiology information systems (HIS, RIS, PACS) with accuracy and maintain patient confidentiality
- Take part in ongoing performance improvement, process optimization, and hospital projects as needed
- Provide excellent interpersonal care and technical guidance to patients across all age groups
- Deliver respectful, compassionate service, maintaining professionalism in all interactions
