Located in Pittsford, NY, this contract opportunity seeks a skilled Interventional Radiology Technician committed to producing high-quality diagnostic images and delivering compassionate patient care. The ideal candidate demonstrates technical competence, teamwork, and adaptability in a dynamic clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients and assist Radiologists during Interventional Radiology procedures.
• Select appropriate exposure factors and positioning to consistently produce diagnostic-quality images.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting malfunctions.
• Complete procedures efficiently while supporting departmental workflows such as room turnover and assisting colleagues.
• Maintain medication security and uphold patient rights in all interactions.
• Utilize Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS effectively.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Respond professionally to technical inquiries from physicians and hospital staff.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current NYS Radiologic Technologist License or ability to obtain prior to start.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Interventional Radiology.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Certification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology (VIR) is preferred.
