Qualifications:

  • Valid NY state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Two years of relevant experience in imaging; interventional radiology experience strongly preferred
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Comfort with training, including potential cross-modality background

Core Responsibilities:

  • Select exposure factors and position patients to ensure high-quality radiologic images
  • Demonstrate proficiency with all x-ray, CR, and DR equipment and imaging systems
  • Prepare patients for radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, and support the radiologist during procedures
  • Administer oral contrast as required, maintaining strict medication security
  • Collaborate effectively within the department to resolve challenges promptly and demonstrate professional, compassionate care at all times
  • Leverage Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS for accurate documentation and workflow
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and maintain confidentiality standards
  • Field technical inquiries from physicians and other hospital staff courteously
