Qualifications

• Valid NY state radiologic technologist license
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association (required)
• At least two years of relevant clinical experience, preferably with prior exposure to interventional radiology

Key Responsibilities

• Consistently select appropriate exposure factors and patient positioning to produce diagnostic-quality radiologic images
• Operate all x-ray equipment and CR/DR systems proficiently
• Prepare and instruct patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic examinations; assist the radiologist during procedures
• Administer oral contrast agents as required
• Ensure accurate and confidential documentation within HIS, RIS, and PACS
• Report equipment malfunctions promptly and assist with departmental logistics, including stocking and clerical duties
• Uphold patient privacy, medication security, and demonstrate sensitivity to patient rights at all times
• Participate in department performance improvement initiatives and maintain positive interpersonal relationships
