Schedule/Hours
- Rotating call: 10-11 call shifts per month, including two full weekends per month (Friday eveningMonday morning)
- Call coverage required, with 30-minute response
- Facility closed on holidays except for on-call coverage; anticipate 12 holidays of call per contract
Qualifications
- 2 years of IR or Cath Lab experience (preference for experience in both modalities)
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this assignment
- ARRT certification and current IEMA (Illinois license)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Expertise in scrub/pan, Impella, balloon pump, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Hybrid, EP, and IR experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional interventional procedures for adult inpatients and outpatients, ranging from peripheral interventions to thrombolysis and catheter placements
- Work collaboratively within a skilled call team across various procedural areas (IR, Cath Lab, Hybrid, EP)
- Chart patient information accurately using EPIC, Merge hemodynamic, and GE Cardio systems
- Participate in a supportive unit backed by 24/7 access to RTs, hospitalists, and cardiologists
