A specialized opportunity exists for an experienced Imaging Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to support a cardiac catheterization and interventional lab unit in Orland Park, IL. This contract position is designed for a professional with a strong background in cardiac cath, electrophysiology, and interventional radiology imaging.
The role operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, coupled with a variable call rotation. Call responsibilities include overnight weekday shifts and full weekend coverage every third weekend (Friday end-of-day through Monday start-of-day), plus 1 to 3 additional overnight call days during the week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform imaging procedures in cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and interventional radiology settings.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment following safety and quality guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams to support patient care during invasive procedures.
- Respond efficiently to call assignments, ensuring availability for urgent cases during specified shifts.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered Technologist (Radiography) (ARRT(R)) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Indiana State License, or ability to obtain licensure.
- Minimum 2 years of cardiac catheterization imaging experience.
- Experience with electrophysiology and interventional radiology imaging strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system is beneficial.
