Job Description

Seeking an experienced Imaging Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to provide essential support in a dynamic healthcare setting. This contract position involves collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to perform minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using advanced imaging technology.

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with specialization in Interventional Radiology
  • Valid state licensure as required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in imaging equipment including fluoroscopy, digital angiography, and ultrasound guidance
  • Strong knowledge of sterile technique, radiation safety, and contrast media handling
  • At least one year of IR Tech experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • BLS certification (required), ACLS preferred

Typical Schedule/Hours:

  • Schedule will be determined by facility needs and may include day, evening, or night shifts with occasional weekend or on-call requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures in accordance with physician orders and standard practices
  • Operate and monitor sophisticated imaging equipment during procedures, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety
  • Assist with patient care before, during, and after procedures, monitoring for any adverse reactions
  • Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient information
  • Ensure adherence to infection control guidelines, radiation protocols, and quality assurance measures
  • Provide technical assistance to physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
  • Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed
