Job Description

This travel opportunity calls for a skilled Imaging Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to support a Level III Trauma Center with Magnet designation and a Comprehensive Stroke Center in New Berlin, WI. As part of a 24/7 staffed Interventional Radiology department, you will assist with advanced adult patient care using state-of-the-art Siemens and GE equipment, contributing to high-quality cardiac and neuro interventional services in a facility with 933 beds.

Responsibilities include scrubbing and panning simultaneously during a wide range of General IR procedures such as kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, central line placements, fistulograms, coil embolization, and more. Experience with neuro IR procedures like stroke embolization and spinal angios, while not required for all travelers, can expand call responsibilities. Participation in call rotations occurs weekdays and every fifth weekend, with flexible shift scheduling options discussed with management. Orientation involves 1-2 weeks with a preceptor to ensure smooth integration.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Registered Technologist in Radiography (RT[R]) with ARRT certification
  • Valid Wisconsin state license
  • BLS certification
  • Experience in General IR procedures as outlined
  • Comfortable with scrubbing/panning concurrently
  • Neuro IR experience preferred but not mandatory for first-time travelers
  • Familiarity with Siemens and GE imaging systems is a plus
  • Knowledge of EPIC EMR preferred

Work Environment and Support:

  • Collaboration with two lead techs, receptionists, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, and CNAs available 24/7
  • Use of advanced technology including MedRad injectors, Alaris IV pumps, and Change Healthcare PACS
  • Free parking with badge access provided
