Job Description

This travel opportunity is for an experienced Interventional Radiologic Technologist (RT(R)) to support a Level III Trauma Center with a comprehensive cardiac and neuro interventional program. Located in Milwaukee, WI, this fast-paced facility features Magnet designation, a Level III NICU, and a Comprehensive Stroke Center, managing approximately 40-50 adult patients daily across 5 IR rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of General IR procedures including kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, central line and port placements, fistulograms, IVC filter insertions, nephrostomy tube placements, coil embolization, and peripheral leg interventions.
  • Support Neuro IR cases such as stroke interventions, embolizations, DSA, WADA tests, and spinal angiographies (neuro cases are not performed overnight).
  • Scrub and pan simultaneously while maintaining patient safety and procedural efficiency.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and tech specialists.
  • Participate in on-call rotations covering weekday and weekend shifts with a 30-minute response time.
  • Engage in a 1-2 week orientation with preceptor guidance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active RT(R) certification (ARRT) with Wisconsin licensure.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year IR experience required; first-time travelers accepted with IR experience.
  • Comfort with complex IR procedures; experience with Siemens and GE equipment preferred.
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR is an asset.

Scheduling Details:

  • Weekend call rotation approximately every 5th weekend.
  • Weekday call once per week.
  • Shift flexibility available; options include four 10-hour shifts or other configurations.
  • No current holiday call requirements but may be subject to change.
