Qualifications:

  • Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography
  • Valid Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech credential or documented IR experience
  • State license as required
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
  • Previous clinical background in a hospital or similar setting is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of imaging protocols for interventional procedures
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a range of interventional radiologic procedures as directed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout
  • Prepare and operate imaging equipment, ensuring accuracy in technique and documentation
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff before, during, and after procedures
  • Maintain patient records and imaging documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
  • Adhere strictly to infection control and radiation safety protocols
  • Educate patients and families on procedure expectations as needed
  • Perform equipment checks and maintain procedure suite cleanliness and readiness
