Interventional Radiology Technologist Contract Opportunity
Location: Mechanicsville, VA (CJW Medical Center Chippenham Campus)

This contract position in Interventional Radiology offers the chance to apply your imaging skills in a fast-paced, procedure-focused environment. You will support a team of 10 staff members specializing in a variety of IR procedures utilizing advanced equipment such as the Discovery 740 IGS system and Meditech EMR. This role is ideal for technologists with critical care and procedural area experience who thrive in collaborative healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with a wide range of interventional radiology procedures including biopsies, drain insertions, angiograms, peripheral vascular imaging, paracenteses, thoracentesis, line placements, and support other imaging needs such as CT coronary, MRI monitoring, and myelograms
• Provide moderate sedation support during procedures as required
• Collaborate closely with RNs, schedulers/coordinators, and the healthcare team to optimize patient care
• Participate in call rotations: approximately 1-2 weeknights on call and 1 weekend call every 4-5 weekends

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven critical care experience and proficiency in procedural areas are required
• Moderate sedation experience is essential
• BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory
• Experience with PALS and Meditech EMR are preferred and will be prioritized
• Excellent communication skills, self-motivation, a team-oriented attitude, and a positive demeanor are highly valued

Work Environment and Dress Code:

• Located on the first floor, main building of CJW Medical Center Chippenham Campus
• Employed in a well-equipped facility with a dynamic team of technologists and RNs
• Scrubs are provided as part of the dress code
