Qualifications & Experience:
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology required
- Specialty certification in Interventional Radiology (VI or CV) preferred
- Valid state licensure for Radiologic Technologists
- Current BLS certification
- Previous experience in hospital-based Interventional Radiology or diagnostic imaging encouraged
- Exceptional attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate a variety of imaging equipment during IR procedures, ensuring patient safety and high-quality images
- Assist physicians during minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Prepare and position patients, explaining procedures and maintaining a compassionate environment
- Follow sterile techniques and radiation safety protocols
- Accurately document patient records and procedure details in compliance with hospital policies
- Monitor equipment for proper performance and coordinate maintenance/repairs as needed
- Support the development of IR protocols as requested by department leadership
