Skills and Qualifications:
- Registered and certified as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
- Current ARRT certification and state licensure as required
- Proficient in IR imaging procedures, including fluoroscopy, CT guidance, and angiography
- Strong understanding of sterile technique and radiation safety
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment independently
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for patient interactions and collaboration with medical staff
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in an IR Tech role (preferred)
- BLS and/or ACLS certification (as required by facility)
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic and therapeutic IR procedures
- Assist physicians in complex interventional procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols
- Select and operate appropriate imaging equipment while maintaining image quality
- Monitor patient conditions and document procedural details accurately
- Maintain strict compliance with infection control and safety guidelines
- Manage equipment setup, breakdown, and maintenance as needed
- Participate in quality assurance activities and continuing education
