Qualifications:

  • Current and valid ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the state (if applicable)
  • Minimum of one year experience specifically in Interventional Radiology Tech role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of imaging equipment, sterile techniques, and vascular/interventional procedures
  • Strong communication and patient care skills
  • BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
  • Operate a variety of imaging equipment to assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Assist physicians during minimally invasive, image-guided procedures
  • Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient records using EMR systems
  • Monitor patient status throughout procedures and report changes as needed
  • Adhere to strict infection control and radiation safety protocols
  • Perform quality assurance checks on imaging equipment
