A compelling opportunity for an Interventional Radiology Technologist is available in Elkhart, IN, offering a contract position with a reputable healthcare organization. This role involves providing specialized imaging services vital for diagnosing and treating patients using advanced interventional radiology techniques.
Schedule & Hours:
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Weekend/on-call obligations: 4-5 nights per pay period, including one weekend per month
- 30-minute call response time required
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures with precision and care
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment to ensure optimal operation and patient safety
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and infection control guidelines throughout all procedures
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and assist in procedural documentation
Qualifications & Certifications:
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) credential required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of interventional radiology imaging modalities and related technologies
- Ability to respond promptly during on-call shifts within a 30-minute timeframe
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced clinical environment
