Step into a critical Imaging role and make an impact in patient care as an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to support advanced imaging and minimally invasive procedures alongside a collaborative team of medical professionals.
Key Qualifications:
- ARRT certification required; registry in Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) highly preferred
- Previous experience as an IR Tech; strong understanding of interventional procedures and imaging equipment
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Proficient in operation of fluoroscopic, angiographic, and other specialized imaging equipment
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a dedication to patient safety
- Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic hospital environment and changing procedural needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for interventional procedures, reviewing history and ensuring all safety protocols are followed
- Assist interventional radiologists during diagnostic and therapeutic image-guided procedures
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment to capture quality images and support optimal outcomes
- Manage contrast and radiation safety, adhering to professional and facility-specific standards
- Document procedure details accurately in the electronic medical record
- Provide clear communication and reassurance to patients throughout their procedures
- Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to coordinate patient care and procedural logistics

$2,904 - $3,072/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
