In this engaging role, you'll work within an advanced interventional platform, gaining exposure to the latest technologies and collaborative team environments, including 2 Cath Labs, an EP Room, a Hybrid Room, and a dedicated IR suite. Handling a broad range of adult inpatient and outpatient procedures, you'll build valuable experience with innovative practices and leadership styles, all while adding unique accomplishments to your resume.

Schedule/Hours:

  • On-call rotation: 10-11 call shifts per month, covering 2 weekends (Friday evening through Monday morning).
  • Weekday call: 4 p.m. 7 a.m.
  • Closed on holidays (call team coverage only); 1-2 holiday call shifts per contract.
  • 12-hour orientation provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform interventional radiology procedures, including peripheral diagnostics/interventions, thrombolysis, ablations, chest tubes, vascular access, and more.
  • Scrub and pan simultaneously for advanced procedures.
  • Respond as part of a dedicated three-person call team.
  • Collaborate closely with supportive staff including charge nurses, 24/7 RTs, and hospitalists.
  • Document through the EPIC charting system.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years experience in IR or Cath Lab (cross-training preferred; no first-time travelers)
  • Current IEMA (IL license), ARRT, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
  • Proficiency with Impella, balloon pump, hemodynamic monitoring, and procedural equipment.
  • Hybrid, EP, IR experience preferred.
  • 30-minute call response time required.
