Job Description

Schedule:

  • 4x10s, MondayFriday, 6:30 AM5:00 PM
  • Rotating day off
  • Rotating on-call shifts
  • Float and weekend requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of IR experience required
  • Experience in trauma (body) and neuro (stroke) cases required
  • Experience with Level I Trauma Centers and Epic EMR preferred
  • Valid certifications: BLS (AHA only), MRT, ARRT; VI preferred
  • Must be able to respond to call and be ready for cases within 30 minutes (50-mile radius requirement waived)
  • Ability to work independently, remain calm under pressure, and effectively communicate with patients and families

Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality IR procedures as per protocol on ambulatory and hospital patients
  • Ensure correct exams are performed, properly documenting and maintaining patient records
  • Prepare patients and procedure areas, adhering to strict safety, infection control, and sterile techniques
  • Communicate compassionately with patients, providing education and reassurance
  • Maintain equipment, supplies, and cleanliness, troubleshooting issues as needed
  • Serve as a preceptor, offering training to new team members on protocols and initiatives
