Qualifications:
- Valid ARRT certification in Radiography; advanced IR credentials preferred
- Current state licensure in radiologic technology
- Minimum of one year of recent experience performing IR procedures in a clinical setting
- Comprehensive understanding of vascular/interventional radiology protocols
- Familiarity with digital imaging equipment and PACS systems
- Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and critical-thinking skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians with interventional radiology procedures such as angiography, biopsies, drainages, and vascular access
- Prepare imaging equipment, instruments, and sterile fields according to protocol
- Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and following procedures
- Accurately capture and maintain patient documentation and imaging records
- Monitor and respond to patient needs during procedures, collaborating with nursing and medical staff
- Adhere strictly to infection control, radiation safety, and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in department quality assurance and process improvement initiatives
