This travel opportunity seeks a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to support a busy hospital department in Charlotte, NC. The role demands confidence in clinical skills and the ability to manage a fast-paced, high-acuity environment serving both adult and pediatric patients from emergency, ICU, nursing units, and outpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform interventional radiology procedures using Siemens single-plane and bi-plane, plus Cannon bi-plane imaging equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with a diverse team including lead techs, modality supervisors, and Imaging Managers.
- Utilize EMR system EPIC to document patient care and procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation alongside full-time, part-time, PRN, and traveler staff.
- Maintain professional communication, fostering a helpful and team-oriented atmosphere.
- Adhere to scheduled shiftsfirst, second, third, or weekendbased on contract agreement.
- Support holiday coverage as scheduled with prior approval for time off.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience.
- ARRT-R certification required.
- Current BLS certification mandatory.
- Confident clinical skills with the ability to handle high patient volume.
- Strong communication skills and a cooperative attitude.
Schedule and Orientation:
- Assignments consist of a 13-week contract with fixed shifts.
- No rotation between weekends and weekdays; shift times are set per contract.
- Comprehensive orientation includes facility tour and 5-day departmental introduction, adjustable based on traveler needs.
