Job Description
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist ready to expand their skills in a Level III Trauma and NICU designated hospital. The role focuses on a busy cardiac services department providing cutting-edge care for adult patients through a variety of advanced IR procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a broad range of General IR procedures including kyphoplasty, vertebroplasty, central line placements, fistulograms, IVC filter insertions, peripheral leg cases, coil embolization, and AAA interventions
- Participate in Neuro IR cases such as stroke interventions, embolizations, DSA, and WADA tests (Neuro IR call optional for travelers without experience)
- Operate Siemens and GE imaging equipment, MedRad injectors, and support technology including EPIC EMR and Pyxis medication systems
- Scrub and pan simultaneously during procedures while maintaining procedural accuracy and patient safety
- Collaborate with two lead techs, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, and support staff in a 24/7 care environment
- Adhere to call schedules during weekdays and weekends with a response time of 30 minutes when on call
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (RT[R]), ARRT certified
- Current Wisconsin RT license and BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year experience in Interventional Radiology required; first-time travelers with IR experience welcomed
- Comfortable with general IR cases as detailed above; coding and charging experience preferred but not required
- Experience with EPIC EMR and Siemens or GE imaging equipment preferred
Schedule:
- Weekday call approx. once per week (Monday-Thursday)
- Weekend call once every 5th weekend, covering Friday through Monday
- Flexible shift scheduling available (four 10-hour shifts or mixed shifts negotiable)
