An advanced interventional radiology technologist opportunity is available at a Level III Trauma Center located in Brookfield, WI. This contract position offers the chance to work in a high-acuity cardiac cath lab performing a broad range of diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. The facility features a robust cardiac service with 15 total labs shared between cath lab, EP, and hybrid suites, predominantly performing complex adult cardiac cases daily.
Responsibilities include supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures such as RHC, LHC, STEMI/NSTEMI interventions, CTO, valvuloplasty, biopsies, atherectomies, and staged PCI cases. Experience with peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures, as well as familiarity with hybrid cases like TAVRs and thoracic grafts, is preferred but not required. The role demands expert skills in scrubbing and panning, managing conscious sedation, and titrating drips in a fast-paced environment, maintaining strict patient ratios of 1:1.
Qualifications include a minimum of three years of cath lab experience, appropriate certifications such as BLS, ACLS, a state radiologic technologist license, and preferred credentials including RCIS and NIHSS. Flexibility to accommodate varying shifts, including 8- and 12-hour rotations, weekend call, and a 30-minute on-call response time, are necessary.
