Key Qualifications and Skills:

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography; additional certification in Interventional Radiology preferred
• Valid and current state license as required
• Experience performing a variety of interventional radiology procedures in an acute care or hospital setting
• Strong knowledge of imaging protocols, fluoroscopy, and patient positioning techniques
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining imaging equipment and contrast agents with meticulous attention to safety standards
• Effective communication and patient care skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a high-paced environment
• BLS certification (current and valid)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and proper technique
• Operate imaging equipment to create images used for diagnosis and therapeutic interventions
• Assist radiologists and physicians during procedures by anticipating needs and maintaining sterile fields
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions, and provide immediate assistance when necessary
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, documenting procedure details and observations
• Uphold stringent safety, infection control, and quality assurance protocols
• Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions promptly
