This travel assignment is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Interventional Radiology Technologists to broaden their professional horizons, experience unique workplace dynamics within a Level II Trauma Center, and immerse themselves in advanced interventional practices. While contributing to critical patient care, youll expand your resume with specialty procedures and observe a variety of leadership approachesexperiences valued by top employers nationwide.

This role places you in a leading healthcare environment with 5 integrated procedural suites, including a dedicated IR room and the opportunity to cross-train in Cath Lab, EP, and Hybrid procedures. Throughout your assignment, youll connect with multidisciplinary teamsstrengthening your clinical acumen and fostering relationships with leaders in interventional technology. During your downtime, explore Auroras cultural attractions, indulge in local culinary gems, or venture into Chicagos bustling cityscape.

Schedule/Hours

  • Weekend rotation: Call shifts only (10-11 per month)
  • 2 weekends of call per month (F/Sa/Su 4p-7a)
  • Weekday call: 4p-7a
  • 30-minute response time required
  • Closed on holidays; call team only, 1-2 holidays per contract

Qualifications

  • ARRT, BLS, ACLS, and active Illinois IEMA license required
  • Minimum 2 years recent IR or Cath Lab experience (no first-time travelers)
  • Proven ability to scrub/pan simultaneously, with strong hemodynamic monitoring skills
  • Previous hybrid, EP, or IR cross-training preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Perform intra-procedural adult imaging for complex vascular, cardiac, neuro, and interventional oncology cases
  • Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary team members
  • Rotate between IR and Cath Lab assignments based on skill and facility needs
  • Adhere to rigorous safety, sterile field, and documentation protocols using EPIC and advanced imaging systems
  • Respond efficiently to call and emergent cases as part of a three-person call team
