Job Description

Deliver high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic imaging as an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract position involves working under the direction of the Chief Technologist and Vascular Institute Manager to provide safe, patient-centered care in accordance with departmental protocols.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
  • Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
  • State licensure, if required.
  • Experience in interventional radiology and special procedures.
  • Proficiency in IR, vascular hybrid, and neuro-interventional procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality patient care across all age groups.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating sound judgment and initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures as outlined by the department.
  • Set up and operate specialized imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
  • Accurately position patients for various procedures, ensuring optimal imaging and their comfort.
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical team members to deliver coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records related to performed procedures and patient information.
  • Consistently adhere to current safety and infection control standards.
  • Remain up-to-date on advances in interventional radiology technology and techniques.
