Job Description

Advance your imaging career in a dynamic, high-acuity hospital environment as an Interventional Radiology Technologist. This role focuses on providing expert imaging services for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients, supporting a department averaging 18 cases per day at a leading facility with Level 1 Trauma, Chest Pain Center, and Stroke Center designations.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract duration: 13 weeks
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 am 4:30 pm (8-hour day shifts, 40 hours/week)
  • No weekend rotation
  • Holiday coverage required only during assigned call weeks
  • On-call and call-back details reviewed during interview

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in interventional radiology or as an IR Tech; vascular and cerebral vascular procedural expertise is essential
  • Experience performing and assisting with a range of diagnostic and interventional procedures such as biopsies, drainages, para/thoracentesis, stenting, thrombolytic therapy, and embolization
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Experience with Philips Azurion M20 system highly preferred; familiarity with EMR (EPIC), Philips PACS, Philips fluoro rooms, and ultrasound required
  • Advanced IR or Cardiovascular (C/V) registry preferred
  • Prior first-time travelers will not be considered

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain angiographic and digital imaging equipment to ensure high-quality diagnostic images
  • Act as scrub assistant on interventional and surgical cases under physician direction
  • Support radiologists with IR cases, including scrubbing and floating as needed
  • Assist in departmental quality assurance and equipment evaluations to ensure consistent imaging standards
