This contract opportunity is designed for an experienced IR Tech ready to contribute to a highly specialized department within a teaching hospital recognized as a Level 1 Trauma, Chest Pain, and Stroke Center. The role offers consistent weekday hours and emphasizes a collaborative, inclusive workplace culture.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday (8:00 am 4:30 pm)
  • No weekend rotation required
  • Holiday coverage only during your assigned call week

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Interventional Radiology; vascular and cerebral vascular procedural experience essential (diagnostic and interventional)
  • Advanced IR or C/V registry preferred
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Skilled in the operation of angiographic equipment, including Philips fluoro rooms and the Azurion M20 system
  • Proficient in using EPIC EMR and Philips PACS systems
  • Ability to act as a scrub assistant, support radiologists and physicians during procedures, and assist with biopsy, stenting, catheter placement, drainages, thrombolytic therapy, and embolizations
  • Strong focus on image quality and safety protocols

Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic and intermediate imaging procedures for inpatients, outpatients, and ER cases
  • Ensure all images are of diagnostic quality, supporting clinical engineering and equipment evaluation
  • Collaborate with department staff, assist with case management, and maintain workflow efficiency
  • Participate in department orientation and ongoing education to stay current with best practices
