A specialized role in electrophysiology technology is available in Monroe, NC, offering an opportunity to contribute to a Level I Trauma teaching hospital with 874 licensed beds. This contract position involves working in a highly advanced cardiac EP Lab with 4-3 EP labs operating on a rotating weekly schedule.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of EP Lab experience required
• First-time travelers considered
• Licenses & Certifications:
  • RN: BLS, ACLS; proficiency in EPIC charting and pre/post procedure documentation
  • Cardiac Cath Tech: BLS, ACLS; ARRT-R or equivalent OR RCIS required; RCES preferred
• Skills:
  • RN: Experience with management of pressors, conscious sedation, and EP Lab procedures
  • Tech: EP/structural scrub expertise required; case monitoring preferred

Responsibilities / Duties:

• Perform electrophysiology studies (EPS), catheter ablations (including PFA, Radiofrequency, Cryoablations)
• Assist with implantable devices such as pacemakers, defibrillators, loop implants, and lead extractions
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including VAD, ECMO, RT, and code response units
• Maintain accurate documentation via EPIC EMR system
• Utilize and troubleshoot advanced cardiac technology and monitoring equipment (Philips, GE, Siemens)

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts, generally 06:30 to 17:00, Monday through Friday
• Weekend call rotation and holiday coverage expected (at least one holiday during contract)
• Schedule cycles every six weeks with manager-approved requested time off
