Schedule/Hours:
- Must be available for on-call shifts
- Rotating weekends and holidays may be required
Key Qualifications:
- Demonstrated competency in comprehensive echocardiography, including adult, pediatric, transesophageal (structural heart), and stress testing
- Familiarity with laboratory protocols for measurements and calculations
- Ability to provide concise oral summaries of findings to interpreting physicians when requested
- Strong patient safety orientation and effective communication skills
- Willingness to administer Ultrasound Enhancing Agents (UEA) and perform saline bubble studies
- Adaptability for additional duties and rotating on-call/weekend/holiday coverage
- Current registry or credentialing as applicable (ARDMS or CCI preferred)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality cardiac imaging studies according to department guidelines
- Accurately measure, document, and report echocardiographic findings
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
- Support patient safety and comfort at all times within the Echo department
- Participate in contrast studies and specialized imaging as needed
- Provide preliminary findings to interpreting physicians, supporting collaborative care
- Assist with additional clinical or departmental tasks as assigned
