Job Description

Seeking an experienced specialist with proficiency in echocardiography to support patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract opportunity is suitable for an Echo Technician with a strong clinical background and technical expertise in cardiac imaging.

Qualifications:

  • Registered or registry-eligible in echocardiography (RDCS, RCS, or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience performing adult echocardiograms in a healthcare setting
  • Proficiency operating and troubleshooting echo equipment and related technology
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and sonographic principles
  • Ability to produce high-quality images and structured reports for physician review
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction
  • Current BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and adaptability in a clinical environment

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and specialized echo exams according to physician orders and facility protocols
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams to provide accurate diagnostic information
  • Prepare, maintain, and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures
  • Document findings thoroughly and maintain accurate imaging records
  • Adhere to infection control and safety standards throughout all tasks
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA and facility policies
