Qualifications:

  • Registered or registry-eligible Echo Technologist with appropriate certifications (e.g., RDCS, RCS)
  • Proficient in adult echocardiography, including 2D, M-Mode, Doppler, and color flow studies
  • Previous experience in a hospital or clinical imaging setting, with strong technical competence in utilizing echocardiography equipment
  • Ability to accurately acquire, analyze, and present echo studies in accordance with physician protocols
  • Knowledge of patient safety standards and cardiac anatomy and pathology
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complete and accurate echocardiographic studies, ensuring high-quality images for physician interpretation
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, following department guidelines and infection control procedures
  • Review patient histories and collaborate with cardiologists to determine the most appropriate imaging protocols
  • Document findings clearly and promptly in electronic medical records
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort
  • Assist with the training of new staff or students as needed
