Job Description
Seeking an experienced specialist with proficiency in echocardiography to support patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract opportunity is suitable for an Echo Technician with a strong clinical background and technical expertise in cardiac imaging.
Qualifications:
- Registered or registry-eligible in echocardiography (RDCS, RCS, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience performing adult echocardiograms in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency operating and troubleshooting echo equipment and related technology
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and sonographic principles
- Ability to produce high-quality images and structured reports for physician review
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction
- Current BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and adaptability in a clinical environment
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized echo exams according to physician orders and facility protocols
- Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams to provide accurate diagnostic information
- Prepare, maintain, and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures
- Document findings thoroughly and maintain accurate imaging records
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards throughout all tasks
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA and facility policies
