Job Description

An opportunity is available for an experienced Echo Sonographer to support non-invasive cardiology services in a well-established healthcare environment. This contracting role is based in Schertz, TX, with work primarily scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including some weekends. Candidates will appreciate a structured 24-week assignment with approximately 36 guaranteed hours per week and potential call responsibilities to be discussed during the interview.

Responsibilities include performing complete echocardiograms independently, demonstrating a strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and disease processes. Your technical proficiency on equipment such as Philips IE33 and Epiq CVX, coupled with experience using Meditech documentation systems, will be essential to success in this role. Participation in floating assignments as needed is expected, according to established policies.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years hospital experience in echocardiography
  • Current RCS or RDCS certification from ARDMS (required)
  • BLS certification
  • Ability to operate independently and handle a patient load averaging 75-80 studies daily, primarily with portable machines
  • Familiarity with TEE, stress echoes, vascular imaging, and Meditech software preferred
  • Professional appearance adhering to unit dress code standards
