Job Description

A healthcare role is available for an experienced echo sonographer specializing in imaging with echocardiography skills in San Antonio, TX. This contract assignment offers the opportunity to work in a leading non-invasive cardiology/cardiac ultrasound unit at a reputable hospital known for high-quality patient care and advanced medical specialties.

Situated in the heart of San Antonio, TX, this facility serves a diverse community with a strong reputation in cardiology and other specialties. San Antonio is a vibrant city known for its rich history, cultural landmarks such as the Alamo, and a welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities:

  • Perform complete echocardiograms independently with a focus on cardiac anatomy and disease processes
  • Conduct approximately 75-80 procedures daily, mainly portable studies
  • Maintain accurate documentation utilizing Meditech systems
  • Comply with unit policies including floating as needed within the department
  • Adhere to dress code and professional grooming standards to present a clean, professional appearance

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of hospital echocardiography experience required
  • Active RCS or RDCS certification (ARDMS required)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Proficient in performing transthoracic echocardiograms, with knowledge of TEE, stress echos, and vascular imaging considered a plus
  • Experience with Philips IE33 and Epiq CVX ultrasound equipment highly preferred
  • Familiarity with Meditech documentation systems is advantageous

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Weekend shifts required
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week
