As a Cardiac Sonographer specializing in echocardiography, your expertise will play a vital role in patient care while allowing you to broaden your skills with exposure to diverse patient populations and collaborate with teams who bring a variety of clinical approaches and leadership styles. This travel assignment will expand your resume while giving you meaningful connections and memorable experiences.
Schedule/Hours:
- Days: 7:00AM 5:30PM
- No weekend requirement
- No on-call requirement
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two-year allied health education program in a patient care-related field preferred (diagnostic medical sonographer, radiologic technologist, respiratory therapist, occupational/physical therapist, RN, etc.)
- A.R.D.M.S./CCI registered or registry eligible, or comparable national accreditation required
- State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Minimum two years of active echocardiography experience (preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well under pressure
- Strong organizational skills and manual dexterity
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic echocardiograms on both adult and pediatric patients
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Cardiovascular Services and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols for infectious disease and physical injury prevention
- Accurately document testing results and patient information
