A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled professional specializing in echocardiography to join a healthcare team within a reputable medical facility located in Pollock, Louisiana. This contract position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with an immediate start date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine transthoracic echocardiograms to evaluate adult patients for heart defects or disease.
- Assist cardiologists with transesophageal echocardiograms.
- Conduct stress echocardiograms to assess for coronary artery disease.
- Communicate exam findings to physicians daily and manage supply checks weekly.
- Provide patient care tailored to specific age and developmental needs.
- Support teambuilding initiatives and uphold organizational values within the department.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- High school diploma required; graduation from an accredited ultrasound technology program preferred.
- Minimum two years of experience in cardiology ultrasound preferred.
- Experience with stress testing is advantageous.
- Current certifications including BLS, and one or more of the following: DCS, RCS, or RDMS through ARDMS or CCI.
Work Environment and Schedule:
- Full-time position with a standard 8-hour workday.
- Weekend shift rotates every 5th week.
- On-call duty required one week every 5th week.
- Patient volume includes approximately 6-8 echocardiograms daily, primarily adult cases with occasional pediatric telemedicine.
