Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform transthoracic contrast echocardiograms and vascular sonography including venous and arterial Doppler studies
  • Administer intravenous lines and IV medications as needed
  • Conduct EKG interpretation and cardiac/vascular stress testing when required
  • Utilize EMR systems such as MEDHOST and CARESTREAM for patient documentation
  • Provide patient care with a low 1:1 patient ratio, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy

Desired Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited echocardiography and vascular technology/sonography or non-invasive cardiovascular program
  • Registered in vascular technology preferred
  • Registry credentials in echocardiography and vascular technology/sonography through ARDMS or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) strongly preferred
  • Minimum two years of experience in echo and vascular imaging
  • BLS certification required
  • Advanced skills in performing transthoracic contrast echocardiograms
  • Experience with intravenous line placement and medication administration is advantageous
  • Familiarity with EKG interpretation and cardiac/vascular stress testing preferred

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Call every third weekend and rotational call during the week
  • No floating assignments, 48-hour option, or block scheduling
  • Maximum requested time off: 3 days
