Job Description

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced echocardiography technologist skilled in advanced imaging techniques, seeking a dynamic environment within a leading acute care hospital. Location:

Responsibilities:

  • Perform 75-100 echocardiographic procedures daily, including inpatient and outpatient exams
  • Utilize advanced echo techniques such as 3D Echo, Bubble Study, Contrast Agents, M-Mode, Pharm Stress Echos, RIT/RVOT, TEE, and Treadmill Stress Echos
  • Operate high-end imaging equipment, preferably Siemens and Phillips scanners
  • Conduct portable studies and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in ER, PICU, Neonate, and NICU units
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation using Excellian/Epic charting systems
  • Provide float assistance within scope to meet department needs, with occasional weekend work per department schedule

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of echocardiography experience; first-time echocardiographers will not be accepted
  • Required certifications: BLS and RDCS-Adults; RDCS-Pediatrics preferred
  • Experience with portables, Syngo software, IV starts, PACS, and biopsies strongly preferred
  • Comfortable working in a Magnet-recognized, Level III Trauma teaching hospital environment
  • Ability to adapt to potential block scheduling and float responsibilities
  • Eligibility to work under a current state license without significant restrictions

Shift:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

This is a contract position offering exposure to a high-volume, state-of-the-art acute care facility with opportunities to expand clinical expertise. Contract candidates should be prepared for possible shift cancellations with flexibility in scheduling.
