Job Description

Step into a vital role supporting the cardiac care team by providing expert echocardiography imaging services. In this contract-based opportunity, you will utilize your knowledge of cardiovascular ultrasound techniques to perform high-quality echo studies, assisting in the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time hours; specific shifts to be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications:

  • ARDMS or CCI certification in echocardiography required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an Echo Tech in a clinical or hospital setting.
  • Proficiency with adult echocardiography exams including M-Mode, 2D, Doppler, and Color Flow studies.
  • Excellent attention to detail in acquiring and interpreting diagnostic images.
  • Strong communication abilities to effectively collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate echocardiography equipment to produce accurate, detailed images of heart anatomy and function.
  • Independently conduct echo exams following physician orders and department protocols.
  • Record and interpret echo study results for physician review and documentation.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained, clean, and in proper working order.
  • Deliver patient-centered care by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort during exams.
  • Maintain thorough, accurate records in the hospitals electronic health system.
  • Adhere to established safety standards and infection control practices at all times.
