Primary qualifications and skills:

• Current certification or registration as an Echo Tech (ARDMS or CCI preferred)
• Demonstrated proficiency performing standard and advanced echocardiograms, including stress and contrast studies
• Solid understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology
• Experience operating state-of-the-art echocardiography equipment
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt rapidly within a fast-paced clinical environment
• Current BLS certification

Key responsibilities:

• Perform transthoracic and (if applicable) transesophageal echocardiograms to assist in diagnosing cardiovascular conditions
• Explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout the process
• Accurately acquire and document high-quality cardiac images for interpretation by cardiologists
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to report findings and support clinical decision-making
• Maintain imaging equipment to guarantee optimal performance, troubleshooting basic issues as needed
• Ensure strict compliance with hospital protocols, and uphold patient confidentiality at all times
