Qualifications & Experience:

• Associates degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field, or equivalent training
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification strongly preferred
• Proficiency in echocardiography techniques, including transthoracic and, ideally, transesophageal studies
• Previous experience in a fast-paced clinical or hospital setting performing cardiac ultrasound
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and imaging safety standards
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct echocardiogram procedures based on physician orders, ensuring clear, accurate, and timely image acquisition
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists and other care providers to review findings and facilitate diagnostic clarity
• Maintain equipment in optimal working condition, perform quality control, and follow infection prevention protocols
• Accurately document test results, patient histories, and procedural information in electronic health records
• Support patients before, during, and after the procedure with instruction and reassurance, adapting to individual needs
• Remain current on best practices and updates in imaging modalities and cardiac care
