Job Description
A healthcare position is available for a Registered Cardiac Sonographer with strong echocardiography skills. This contract role is located in Kansas City, KS, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with one night of on-call duty per week.
Qualifications and Experience:
- High School Graduate required
- Minimum of 4 years clinical experience as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer
- Completion of at least 4,000 echocardiograms
- Preferred: Graduate from an accredited cardiac ultrasound/echocardiography program or related health science field
- Training or certification in IV and UEA contrast administration is a plus
- Valid RCS-CCI or RDCS-ARDMS certification and BLS certification required
Responsibilities:
- Perform inpatient, outpatient, and emergency echocardiograms
- Work within OR, cath lab, and EP lab environments
- Utilize GE Vivid E95 for resting and stress echoes and Philips CVX primarily for transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs)
- Participate in structured orientation including a 2-day initial training and additional local orientation
