A specialized opportunity exists for a skilled Echo Technologist to support a high-volume cardiac imaging department in Eden Prairie, MN. This contract position offers a steady daytime schedule, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, within a leading acute care teaching hospital known for its commitment to excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform 75-100 inpatient and outpatient echocardiograms per day across various hospital units including inpatient, ER, PICU, Neonate, and NICU.
• Utilize advanced echo techniques such as 3/D Echo, Bubble Studies, Contrast Agents, M-Mode, Pharm Stress Echos, RIT/RVOT, TEE, and Treadmill Stress Echos.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, preferably Siemens and Phillips scanners.
• Conduct portable studies and work within Syngo and PACS systems.
• Provide clinical support including IV starts and biopsies as needed.
• Collaborate with clinicians and float within the scope to meet departmental needs, with occasional weekend shifts required.
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and contribute to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced magnet-designated teaching environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years echocardiography experience required; first-timers will not be considered.
• Active BLS certification and RDCS (Adult) required; RDCS-Pediatric preferred.
• Proven experience in inpatient and ER settings; outpatient and teaching hospital experience is a strong plus.
• Skilled in performing a broad array of echo procedures and proficient in portable echo exams.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules; possible accommodation for block schedules.
• Local candidates preferred; pending state licenses accepted.
