This opportunity seeks an experienced Echo Sonographer to perform comprehensive echocardiographic examinations in a well-established, patient-focused cardiology unit. The role supports non-invasive cardiology and cardiac ultrasound services, requiring advanced technical skills and a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and disease processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently perform complete transthoracic echocardiograms and other cardiac imaging procedures.
- Operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment including Philips IE33 and Epiq CVX systems.
- Document findings accurately using the Meditech system.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
- Adhere to unit policies including floating as needed across departments.
- Maintain professional appearance and comply with dress code standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Active RCS or RDCS certification through ARDMS.
- Minimum of 2 years hospital experience in an echocardiography setting.
- Proficiency in completing thorough echocardiographic studies independently.
- Valid BLS certification.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and pathology.
Preferred Experience:
- Skills in transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), stress echocardiography, and vascular imaging.
- Experience with Meditech electronic documentation.
- Ability to manage approximately 75-80 studies per day, including portable exams.
Schedule & Location:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM.
- Weekend shifts required.
- Approximately 36 guaranteed hours per week.
- Location: Cibolo, TX.
- Contract assignment length: 24 weeks.
