Job Description

A healthcare professional with expertise in echocardiography is needed to perform high-quality diagnostic procedures, primarily adult echocardiograms, with occasional pediatric telemedicine cases. This opportunity is based in Boyce, LA, offering a full-time contract position with consistent daytime hours and a rotating weekend and on-call schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine transthoracic echocardiograms to evaluate heart defects and diseases.
  • Assist physicians during transesophageal echocardiograms.
  • Perform stress echocardiograms to assess coronary artery disease.
  • Communicate findings to physicians daily and manage necessary supplies.
  • Adapt assessments and treatments to meet the developmental needs of both adult and pediatric patients.
  • Uphold organizational core values and participate in team-building initiatives.
  • Complete additional assignments as required.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • High School Diploma required; graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program preferred.
  • Minimum of two years experience in cardiology diagnostics, with stress testing experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Registration as DCS, RCS, or RDMS through ARDMS or CCI mandatory.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Rotating weekends every fifth week.
  • On-call duty one week every fifth week.
