Exceptional opportunity for a skilled PET/CT Technologist with dual certification to provide outstanding imaging services in a travel assignment based out of Yorktown, IN. This role involves working in diverse settings, including outpatient centers, mobile imaging coaches, and hospital-based environments, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and high-quality diagnostic images. Your expertise will directly impact accurate diagnoses and confident treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure patient safety by pre-screening for contraindications and strictly adhering to radiation safety protocols when handling radioactive materials.
- Produce high-quality PET/CT diagnostic images using advanced imaging parameters and software.
- Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, and healthcare team members to facilitate smooth procedures and accurate interpretation.
- Train new technologists and patient coordinators to maintain high standards of imaging care.
- Troubleshoot imaging equipment, including scanners, monitors, PACS, and coils, to ensure operational excellence.
Desired Qualifications:
- Dual certification in Nuclear Medicine and Computed Tomography through NMTCB or ARRT(N) and ARRT(CT).
- Valid state license as applicable.
- Minimum of one year experience in PET and/or PET/CT imaging, along with experience in X-ray or CT.
- CPR certification required.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Ability to travel locally between multiple Indiana locations as needed.
- Proficient in venipuncture and aseptic injection techniques.
