Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel assignment; specific schedule provided after placement

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Prior experience operating CT imaging equipment required
  • Proficiency with patient identification, assessment, and contrast administration
  • Strong understanding of safe positioning and lifting techniques
  • Competency in administering and recording contrast media protocols
  • Current certification/registry in CT in accordance with regulatory agencies
  • Ability to perform basic CPR and respond to emergency situations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CT equipment safely and efficiently for diagnostic procedures
  • Transfer, position, and prepare patients, applying proper safety and immobilization standards
  • Obtain and record relevant patient history and allergies; communicate with care team as needed
  • Prepare and inject intravenous contrast media per radiologist protocols
  • Develop, store, and manage imaging studies using electronic and digital systems
  • Monitor for adverse reactions to contrast, intervene according to protocol, and participate in emergency support when required
  • Calibrate and maintain imaging equipment, follow department and state guidelines for repair and quality control
  • Maintain organized supplies, a clean working environment, and assist with inventory management
  • Mentor new personnel and assist radiologists with specialized procedures as necessary
  • Participate in departmental and hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives
