Job Description
Experience a rewarding imaging opportunity operating advanced CT equipment to create detailed cross-sectional images used for critical medical diagnoses. This contract role is ideal for professionals skilled in computed tomography who are ready to take on a diverse set of imaging responsibilities, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
Key Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology or a related imaging field
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography; CT certification highly preferred
- State licensure as required
- Prior experience operating computed tomography equipment
- Proficiency performing a variety of procedures, including CT, X-ray, and fluoroscopy
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures for radiation exposure and infection control
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced clinical environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate CT scanners to capture high-quality images of bones, organs, and tissues for diagnostic purposes
- Perform general radiographic studies and assist with fluoroscopic procedures as needed
- Ensure accuracy and clarity of all imaging results, and provide them promptly to the medical team
- Prepare and position patients, ensuring their comfort and safety
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment per safety and quality protocols
- Follow established protocols for contrast administration and radiation safety
- Accurately document procedures and patient information in electronic medical records
- Collaborate closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals
