Role Overview
As a PET/CT Technologist, youll play a crucial role in patient care, ensuring a safe and compassionate environment while producing highly detailed PET/CT scans. Your expertise enables physicians to make precise diagnoses and informed treatment decisions. Youll engage directly with patients to help them feel comfortable during procedures and use your technical skills with Siemens MCT equipment to maintain the highest standards of imaging quality.
Schedule/Hours
- Travel assignments across multiple Michigan locations
- Flexibility to work in outpatient, mobile, and hospital-based settings
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure patient safety, pre-screening for contraindications and following aseptic injection protocols
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety standards and maintain thorough documentation
- Produce high-quality, diagnostic PET/CT images using Siemens MCT
- Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists
- Troubleshoot scanners and related equipment (monitors, PACS, coils, etc.)
- Provide guidance to new technologists as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Certification in Nuclear Medicine: NMTCB or ARRT (RT-N)
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 12 years experience with PET/PETCT imaging
- Proven proficiency with Siemens MCT
- Valid drivers license (for local travel)
- Willingness to work at different facilities across Michigan
